BigWig Fun Fact: I have always wanted to learn how to sing.
Why are you participating?
As a survivor, I know firsthand the impact breast cancer has on one's life and the lives of family and loved ones.
Diagnosed in 2015 at the age of 32, I underwent a bilateral mastectomy to treat my breast cancer and reduce my risk of recurrence as much as possible. My daughter was three at the time of my surgery and beyond my worry for myself, was my fear for her health. She's now at a very high risk due to my diagnosis and will begin screening at age 22. Of course, my hope is that we have cure by then.
That's where you come in! Together, we can end breast cancer.
I invite you to make a donation today in honor of the loved ones in your life who have been impacted by breast cancer. I also invite you to make a donation in honor of the estimated 276, 480 women in the U.S. who will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer this year alone.
Your dontation will help ensure access to essential breast health services, education programs and support research into new treatments and cures. Seventy-five percent of funds raised through this campaign will remain in the Knoxville community and be used to support local breast cancer initiatives.
My pledged is to raise $5,000 by March 31. Please join me in pledging to do all we can to end breast cancer!
